|
May 3rd 2008
Alex was scheduled to race Central Arizona Raceway with the pure stock but
instead she decided to try out the Arizona Outlaw Dwarf Car along with her Pure Stock.
The previous weekend Alex was involved in a crash in the heat race, a car drive right
into her breaking the upper control arm and was not able to finish. She was also
involved in a crash that happen on lap 9, a car spun right in front of her and she had no
place to go. She was able to continue but the 40s pure stock was damaged.
The Pure Stock heat was first she stared
second row inside. She was in fourth and she was
going for third, the third place car started to spin
out while Alex was passing. Both Alex and the third
place car spun and Alex was hit in the door by
another car. She was in the back of the heat with
eight cars and three laps remaining, she finished
fifth.
It was time to try out the Arizona Dwarf Car.
This car was her dads and he won many races in it
as well. With a new setup and driver Alex tagged
her race. Alex jumped up to third one spot behind
her dad. She was confident but the car was not
handling well, every time she got on the gas the car
wanted to come around. The 2006 Arizona Outlaw
Dwarf Car Champion adjusted his daughter's car and
discovered that her drive shaft was bent.

The dwarf car main event was first the rookie started
fourth row outside. Alex quickly moved up into the sixth
position, she stayed strong with a bent drive shaft. The
rookie was making a pass for fifth while a yellow came
out. When the field went back to green flag Alex was
having trouble driving the car and she was forced to pull
off, she was also leaking alto of water.
Now to start the twenty-lap race with her Pure Stock.
She had the started position of seventh row inside. The
veteran was moving for way up quickly she found herself in
the seventh position; she had passed seven cars in eight
laps. She drove low and while passing a car for a position
a car drove down into her hard causing her to spin down
the front straight. Now in the back she was still fast
working her way to seventh again. Two cars ahead of Alex
got messed up and the car in front of her though
there was going to be a crashed so he took a hard right turn off the track taking her car as well. She had hit your hand
on the steering wheel and she had a flat tire ending her night. The next race will be at Prescott Valley Raceway with
the Dwarf Car along with the Pure Stock.
